Winter Snow/Ice Storm Reminder

There is no parking on town roadways during a snow and/or ice storm. This includes the 24 hours following the storm thereafter unless otherwise posted. Failure to comply may cause the vehicle to be towed at the owner’s expense. Another serious safety issue is snow being plowed or shoveled from a driveway, parking lot or sidewalk into the roadway. Snow placed on a roadway in the hopes that the highway plow will clear it is being irresponsible, unsafe and illegal. This can cause serious hazardous conditions for the traveling public. A homeowner could be liable for any damages to a motorist or vehicles due to snow that was placed on the roadway.
