If you travel between the Town of New Paltz and the Town of Lloyd, you may have noticed construction taking place along State Route 299. Working in conjunction with the Ulster County Legislature, the Town of Lloyd, and the New York State DOT, this construction is part of a three-phase project designed to ultimately connect the Walkway over the Hudson with the Village of New Paltz and beyond.

This project will allow Ulster County residents and visitors to safely walk, jog and bike along this incredibly beautiful area. It will also create a valuable connection between the Metro North Train Station and SUNY New Paltz, and become a critical part of the upcoming Empire State Trail, connecting NYC with the Adirondacks.
